With cross veneer edgings, the veneer structure does not run lengthways as with conventional veneer edging but, as the name suggests, transversely to the direction in which the edge is running or processed. This creates an attractive edging look on the workpiece that immediately catches the eye. The edging is effectively used as a design element.
